The New Testament Plan of Salvation
The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ has a plan for man's redemption. That plan has been revealed in the pages of the Bible. Therefore, it is very vital and fundamental that people know how to rightly divide the Scriptures in order to know what God requires for salvation.
Hear the words of the gospel Acts 15:7, "...that the Gentiles by mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe." Believe in the Deity of Christ Hebrews 11:6, " But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Repent of your sins Acts 17:30, "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commendeth all men every where to repent." Confess one's faith Roman's 10:10, "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Baptism for the remission of sins Acts 2:38, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Be a faithful servant until death Revelation 2:10, "...be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." |
EXAMPLES OF CONVERSION FROM THE BOOK OF ACTS
"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.'" (Matthew 28:18,19)
"And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.'" (Mark 16:15,16)
